Thuriyatheetha Meditation

Preparation for meditation:
  • Sit comfortably in Sukhasana  on a mat on floor in a quiet, clean, roofed and airy room.
  • Lights may be switched off.
  • Avoid meditating when you are sick or near a sick person. Avoid meditating in public places or open places or in temples.
  • You can meditate anytime convenient for you but not when you are tired or feeling sleepy or have just eaten a meal.
  • Keep your eyes closed throughout the meditation.
  • Ignore all thoughts, sounds and other disturbances.

What are the benefits of Thuriyatheetha Meditation?

  1. Mind operates at lower levels of frequency.
  2. EEG results of Thureeyatheetha Meditators have shown that regular practice takes the mind to Delta level of frequencies. The test had been conducted on Vethathiri Maharishi himself as a proof of evidence.
  3. Practitioner’s mind reveals the secrets of the origin of the universe during this meditation.
  4. Mind gains total control over itself.
  5. Mind merges with the almighty consciousness.
  6. Combining this meditation with systematic introspection practices helps remove sin imprints.

 Start of Thuriyatheetha Meditation:

May the whole world live in peace, prosperity and harmony.
We are going to be doing Thureeyatheetha Meditation.
May the Almighty Force purify the atmosphere around us.
May the almighty force descend upon our body and soul and purify the same.
Salutations to Mother. Salutations to Father. Salutations to Guru.
Start meditating on Agna Chakra. Focus the mind on the life force at the Agna Chakra. (Five minutes)
Meditate over Thuriya Chakra. Focus the mind on the life force at the Thureeya Chakra. (Five minutes)
Raise your life force through the mind, one foot above Thureeya Chakra to Thuvathasangam. Meditate at Thuvathasangam. (1 minute)
Raise your life force through the mind, to moon. Imagine the full moon directly above your head. Meditate over moon. (1 minute)
Raise even further on a straight line all the way up to the Sun. Meditate over the Sun. (1 minute)
Keep the Sun as the center and spread in all directions up to the Universe. This is the Sakthi Kalam or Universe energy field. (5 minutes)
Spread even further beyond the Sakthi Kalam. Almighty force surrounds and compresses the universe and holds it together. This is Shiva Kalam, Shiva, Almighty, and God. The static, pressure-force is limitless. Spread the mind to the endless Almighty state and mediate. (5 minutes)
Be blessed by the divine.
To conclude the meditation by slowly coming from Almighty state (Shiva Kalam) to the Universal state (Sakthi Kalam). (1 minute)
Slowly come down from Universal state (Sakthi Kalam) to the Sun. (1 minute)
Slowly come down in straight line from the Sun to the Moon. (1 minute)
Slow come down in straight line from the Moon to Thuvathasangam, a foot above crown Chakra.
Come down and focus your mind on Thureeya Crown Chakra.
Spread the meditated energy throughout the body and soul. May they be purified.
By the grace of the divine bliss, we shall all live in good health, long life, enough wealth, peace, prosperity, fame and wisdom.
Blessings to life partner.
Blessings to children one by one.
Blessings to brothers and sisters.
Blessings to close relatives and friends.
Blessings to those who help us in our daily duties.
Blessings to even those who think they are our enemies that they too must change their hearts and live in peace, prosperity and wisdom.
May there be abundant filling to the brims of all water bodies in this world.
May the whole world live in peace, prosperity and harmony.
May there be peace between us, amongst us, within us and all around the world.
